Birth Doula Services

"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you"

I support births from ALL WALKS OF LIFE

Pregnancy Bonding Moment

A doula’s role is often described as protecting a woman’s memory of birth. The way a woman is supported, respected, and encouraged during labor can shape how she carries that memory—and the confidence she carries into motherhood—for the rest of her life. My heart is to create an environment where women feel safe, informed, and deeply supported as they do the sacred work of bringing life into the world.

"Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers—strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength".

Barbara Katz Rothman

The Difference a Doula makes

- 39% Decrease in risk of Cesarean section

--Increase in spontaneous vaginal birth

-Decrease in use of medications for pain relief

-Shorter labors

-Decrease in the risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience

Research consistently shows that continuous support during labor improves outcomes for both mothers and babies. Women supported by doulas are more likely to experience spontaneous vaginal birth and less likely to require interventions such as cesarean birth, forceps, or vacuum assistance. They also tend to have shorter labors, use less pain medication, and report more positive birth experiences overall.

Beyond statistics, the true value of a doula is presence. Birth is not only a physical event—it is an emotional and spiritual threshold. Having a steady, knowledgeable support person by your side can make all the difference in how a woman experiences her birth and carries that memory into motherhood.

A doula’s role is often described as protecting a woman’s memory of birth. My goal is to help create an environment where you feel safe, respected, encouraged, and supported every step of the way.

Support for Body, Mind, and Spirit

Birth calls upon every part of us—our body, mind, and spirit. My support is designed to acknowledge the int each of these areas so that you can approach birth feeling prepared and grounded.

Body

I provide hands-on comfort measures and physical support during labor, including positioning suggestions, movement guidance, counter-pressure, massage, and other techniques that help labor progress and bring relief during contractions. My goal is to help you work with your body’s natural rhythms.

Mind

Preparation and education are powerful tools for reducing fear and building confidence. During our prenatal visits we will discuss the physiology of birth, comfort techniques, birth preferences, and how to navigate common decisions that arise during labor. I help you approach birth informed, calm, and confident in your choices.

Spirit

For families who desire it, I also offer Spirit-led encouragement and prayer throughout pregnancy and labor. Birth is a sacred moment, and many mothers find deep strength in grounding themselves in faith during this time.

As it says in Galatians 5:22–23, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are the qualities I seek to bring into the birth space as I support families during this transformative season.

I felt informed on things that are often brushed over lightly. Having my experience acknowledged was great too.
